TheConstruction & Maintenance Central (CMC) Team undertake capital andoperational works to maintain and improve safety, serviceabilityand efficiency of the region’s road network and integratedtransport system.

About the role

- Perform a wide rangeof civil construction and maintenance tasks, with a focus onmunicipal works.
- Carryout drainage and labouring duties while ensuring quality everystep of the way.
- Prepare and restoreworksites before and after each job.
- Prioritise safety -for yourself, your team and the wider community.
- Collaborate closelywith your team and share knowledge to get the job doneright.
- Followour quality and environmental standards with pride.
- Operate equipmentsafely and responsibly.

What you'll bring

- Current QueenslandDrainers Licence. If not held, must be obtained within 12months of commencement.
- WHSCompetency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safelyin the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingnessto obtain prior to commencement.
- Certificate inConfined Space (or within 3 months ofcommencement).
- Certificate ofCompetency in Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) (orwithin 3 months of commencement).
- Certificate ofCompetency for Quick Cut Saw (or within 3 months ofcommencement).
- Understanding of andcommitment to Council’s Organisational Value and Behaviour ofSafety and Wellbeing.





Thepreferred candidate will be required to undertake a CriminalHistory Check and a pre-employment medical assessment to assesstheir ability to perform the genuine occupational requirements ofthe position.
