The part you will play

As part of the Aboriginal Communities team, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders/Community. Working on: Design and delivery of meaningful community programs that respond to local needs and strengthen culture, wellbeing, connection and inclusion across the municipality. Build strong partnerships with Traditional Owners, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, local services and community groups to improve outcomes for Aboriginal communities. Support the Aboriginal Gathering Place to be a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally safe space for all. Drive reconciliation and cultural understanding by leading initiatives that strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities and celebrate Aboriginal culture and history. Support and liaison with the Whittlesea Aboriginal Gathering Place Advisory Group.
