Are you passionate about cars? We are currently seeking a motivated Panel Beating Apprentice to join one of our valued local Smash Repair businesses in Cairns.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly regarded and busy workshop, gaining practical, real-world experience in the automotive repair industry while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist qualified tradespeople with vehicle body repairs and restoration
Learn to repair, replace and refinish damaged vehicle panels
Assist with workshop operations, including moving vehicles in and out of work bays
Prepare vehicles
Safely use hand and power tools under supervision
Carry out vehicle detailing and ensure cars are ready for customer collection
Maintain a clean, organised and secure work environment, including end-of-day clean-up
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures at all times
Applicants Must Meet the Following Criteria:
Be an Australian Citizen or hold Permanent Residency
Hold a minimum P Plate Manual driver’s licence
Demonstrate a strong interest in automotive and panel beating
Have a positive attitude with good communication skills
Be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
Demonstrate attention to detail and willingness to learn the trade
Be able to work in a fast-paced workshop environment
Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements and follow workshop operation requirement at all times
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications:
Previous labouring or trade assistant experience in automotive
