Food & Beverage Attendant (casual) – Black Hide Queen's Wharf

Recently named SE QLD Best Steak Restaurant - formal, Black Hide Queen’s Wharf is seeking experienced hospitality professionals to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced, premium dining setting.

Key responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and professional first impression

Take orders accurately from customers and communicate these clearly to kitchen and bar staff

Confident knowledge of steak cuts, cooking temperatures and menu presentation

Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests with selections

Clear tables promptly and maintain a clean, organised dining environment throughout service

Process payments and operate point-of-sale systems with accuracy

Respond to guest queries and requests with professionalism and courtesy

Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar and front-of-house team members to deliver seamless service

Adhere to all food safety, hygiene and venue policies

Support with general cleaning and restocking of dining areas as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a waiting or food and beverage service role, preferably in a high-volume or premium venue

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with diverse guests

Proven ability to deliver formal table and sequence-of-service standards

Strong section management skills with the ability to handle high-volume service





The ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

A genuine passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences

Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and carry items safely

Reliability and a professional, positive attitude

Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol is advantageous

Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is preferred
