An established and highly respected travel business on the Gold Coast is looking for an experienced Groups Advisor to join its specialist team.
This is an opportunity to work within a qualified, experienced travel environment supporting a diverse range of group travel requirements, with the backing of a well-established business and a strong network of travel partners.
About the Role
As a Groups Advisor, you'll be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of group travel, with a particular focus on domestic airfares, bookings, administration and accurate group documentation.
You'll work closely with clients, suppliers and internal teams to ensure group travel arrangements are managed efficiently from enquiry through to completion.
The role will include:
- Managing group travel enquiries and bookings
- Working with domestic airfares and group air requirements
- Preparing quotes, itineraries and supporting documentation
- Managing group bookings and changes through to ticketing
- Maintaining accurate group information and manifests
- Using Excel to manage and track group travel requirements
- Working with suppliers and travel partners to secure appropriate arrangements
- Ensuring bookings and documentation are accurate and completed within required deadlines
- Providing support to the wider travel team when required
- Assisting the Corporate Travel team during busy periods
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised,
commercially aware and genuinely enjoys the detail involved in getting group travel right.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in group travel, leisure travel or travel operations
- Strong knowledge of domestic airfares
- GDS proficiency - Amadeus highly regarded
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to manage multiple bookings and competing deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A flexible, team-oriented approach
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Groups experience is preferred, but we're also open to someone with the right travel background, strong systems skills and attitude who can be trained into the role.
