Skerman Civil is an established and growing civil construction company delivering high-quality infrastructure and land development projects across South East Queensland.

We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to join our team and take ownership of the successful delivery of a range of civil construction projects, including subdivisions, bulk earthworks, roadworks, stormwater, sewer and water infrastructure.

This is an excellent prospect for a motivated and capable Project Manager who enjoys being actively involved in projects and working closely with site teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors.

About the Role

As a Civil Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from commencement through to completion, with a strong focus on safety, quality, program and commercial performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing multiple civil construction projects across South East Queensland.

- Planning and programming works to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

- Leading and supporting Project Engineers, Foremen, Supervisors and site teams.

- Managing project budgets, forecasts, cost tracking and monthly reporting.

- Preparing and managing variations, extensions of time and contractual claims.

- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients.

- Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.

- Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities.

- Maintaining strong quality assurance and WHS standards.

- Attending client and project meetings and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.

- Assisting with procurement, subcontractor engagement and project planning.

- Ensuring accurate project documentation, reporting and administration.





About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

- Demonstrated experience managing civil construction projects, preferably in subdivisions and civil infrastructure.

- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.

- Experience managing project budgets, variations and forecasting.

- A sound understanding of civil construction methodologies, sequencing and programming.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- The ability to build positive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams.

- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to be involved in the day-to-day delivery of projects.

- A strong commitment to safety and quality.

Experience working on projects involving earthworks, roads, stormwater, sewer, water reticulation and subdivisions will be highly regarded.
