Tathra Hotel Position : Full Time Location : Tathra NSW

Salary : $79,423 - $95,000 a year

The heritage-listed Tathra Hotel (Walhara Pty Ltd) has been a central part of the Tathra community for over a century, providing a welcoming meeting place for the headland for both locals and visitors. The Tathra Hotel Bistro Menus change seasonally to reflect the local produce available.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily hotel operations during assigned shifts.
- Monitor the performance and coordination of Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other operational departments.
- Ensure hotel policies, procedures, and operational standards are consistently followed.
- Maintain a high standard of skilled guest service throughout the hotel.
- Respond to guest enquiries, requests, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Investigate and resolve operational or service issues and implement appropriate service recovery when required.




- Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities to improve the guest experience.
- Supervise hotel employees during assigned shifts and provide operational direction and support.
- Ensure appropriate handling of hotel keys, payments, cash, and guest information in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure hotel health, safety, security, and emergency procedures are followed.

Qualifications

- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Relevant qualifications
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality service standards.
- Proven supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to make sound operational decisions independently.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment.
- Knowledge of workplace health, safety, security, and emergency procedures.
