In this role, you'll:

You will be part of the Transport Modelling team, which delivers strategic forecasting, modelling and analytical insights that support major transport planning, infrastructure investment and policy decisions across NSW.

- You will deliver transport and traffic modelling and forecasts to support evidence-based planning, infrastructure investment and policy outcomes across NSW.
- You will develop, calibrate and validate transport models using EMME and other modelling tools to produce robust and defensible forecasting outcomes.
- You will provide trusted technical advice and modelling insights to support project development, strategic planning and decision‑making in complex transport environments.

About you

- You have demonstrated experience in strategic traffic forecasting and demand modelling, including model calibration, validation and transport network development.
- You’re recognised as a strong analytical practitioner, skilled in interpreting complex data and communicating technical findings to diverse audiences.




- You bring experience applying transport modelling and analytical tools, including EMME, Dynameq and Python, to deliver complex forecasting projects and improve modelling capability.
- Ideally you also have operational traffic modelling experience in SIDRA, AIMSUN and/or VISSIM.
- You have proven experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and building productive relationships with stakeholders to support informed decision‑making.
- You hold relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in transport planning, transport modelling, engineering, analytics or a related discipline.
