Azelis is seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team in Sydney. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role will provide day-to-day leadership and support to our Logistics Coordinators while overseeing the effective import, export, warehousing and distribution of our products. You will work closely with freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers, transport partners and internal Customer Experience teams. Your ability to drive accountability, maintain accurate systems and proactively manage delivery risks will directly influence the service we provide to our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership, mentoring, training and performance support to Logistics Coordinators
- Conduct regular one-on-one performance and development discussions
- Oversee incoming shipments, domestic transport and coordination with third-party logistics providers
- Ensure inbound goods are delivered, inspected and receipted within agreed service levels
- Oversee outbound order processing and ensure customer delivery requirements are met
- Proactively identify at-risk deliveries and communicate with Customer Experience teams
- Hold freight, transport and logistics partners accountable for service performance
- Process and monitor logistics transactions within Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Monitor EDI transaction integrity between Azelis and external partners
- Prepare operational and customer-specific reports
About you
- At least five years' experience across logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing or distribution
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience operating in a high-volume or high-transaction environmentStrong customer service focus and a proactive approach to communication
- Excellent attention to detail and a logical, practical working style
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence managing external logistics and transport providers
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be highly regarded
- Exposure to dangerous goods or regulated products will be advantageous
