IT Governance and Policy Officer – Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA)

Contract: Permanent; Full-time
Responsibilities
- Provides secretarial support to the Chief Information Officer to manage the department’s Information and related Technology (IT) governance, committees and branch operations.
- Conducts research and analysis to prepare executive communications and reports.
- Coordinates review of key IT governance documents in a planned, organised and timely manner.
Selection Criteria
- Experience supporting governance processes, committees and / or executive functions, including identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes or ways of working.
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyse information, develop recent policies and procedures, maintain and review existing documents and provide practical recommendations in a complex work environment.
- Knowledge of IT governance, risk, compliance, quality management, information security or IT service management practices.
Eligibility and Compliance
Eligibility: It is essential to have Australian citizenship, New Zealand citizenship, Australian permanent residency status or a valid working visa to be appointed to this role.
Security clearance:
None required for this role.
Background checks: National Police Check required.
