Albany Medical Center is seeking an experienced Adult STAT RN for a 36 hours/week, 7p–7a shift position in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this high-acuity, hospital-based role, you will provide rapid-response, critical nursing care to adult patients experiencing acute deterioration, medical emergencies, or requiring urgent higher-level support. Working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members, you will respond to STAT calls, Rapid Response Team activations, codes, and urgent transfers, stabilizing patients and coordinating their care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

The Adult STAT RN will perform comprehensive assessments, initiate and manage evidence-based interventions, administer medications and advanced therapies, and continuously monitor patients using cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. You will interpret clinical data swiftly, communicate changes in patient condition, and advocate for appropriate escalation of care, including ICU transfer when indicated. Strong clinical judgment, advanced critical care skills, and the ability to remain calm and focused during high-stress situations are essential.

This night-shift position requires effective collaboration with bedside nurses and unit leadership to support staff in managing complex and unstable patients,



providing clinical guidance, and assisting with complex procedures as needed. You will maintain accurate and timely documentation, follow all hospital policies and protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and outcomes.
