We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Production Manager who can take ownership of our day-to-day manufacturing operations while remaining close to the floor and the people who make it happen.

This role suits someone who combines strong operational capability with calm, practical leadership — someone who can lead teams, improve performance and build a safe, efficient and positive production environment.

The role

As Production Manager, you will be a key part of the manufacturing leadership team, with responsibility for the day-to-day performance of production operations.

You will lead Team Leaders and production staff, ensuring the operation delivers against safety, quality, productivity and output requirements. You will balance broader operational responsibility with a genuinely hands-on approach to leading the production floor.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Taking ownership of daily production operations to meet safety, quality, productivity and output requirements

Spending significant time on the production floor, working closely with Team Leaders and production staff to identify and resolve issues

Leading, coaching and supporting Team Leaders and production teams through clear direction, regular feedback and respectful communication

Planning labour and resources to meet production requirements and responding practically when priorities change

Monitoring production performance and using data to identify issues, trends and opportunities for improvement

Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives across production processes, efficiency and ways of working

Supporting Team Leaders with people matters including performance, attendance,



grievances and disciplinary processes

Ensuring workplace health and safety practices are embedded across production, including appropriate reporting, registers and follow-up

Supporting training, onboarding and safe work practices for production staff

Troubleshooting operational issues in real time and taking ownership of getting production back on track

Working closely with quality, warehouse, supply chain and other teams to ensure production goals are achieved

Providing clear reporting and insights on production performance, including output, labour and efficiency

The ideal candidate will demonstrate :

Strong, hands-on production leadership experience within food manufacturing or a similar environment

Proven experience leading Team Leaders and frontline production teams

A visible, approachable leadership style — you enjoy being on the floor and working alongside your team

Confidence working in an environment handling raw proteins such as beef, chicken and pork

A track record of improving output, efficiency and ways of working

Strong practical problem-solving skills and the ability to use production data to make informed decisions

Explicit, respectful communication skills and the ability to build trust across a diverse workforce

Sound judgement and calm decision-making in a fast-paced environment

A proactive, versatile attitude and genuine willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed

Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements

Conversational Indonesian language skills are a strong advantage, but not essential
