The Centre for Intelligence Practice is seeking an experienced intelligence practitioner who is passionate about developing others and building organisational capability. This role provides a unique opportunity to leverage your operational intelligence experience to develop the knowledge, skills and professional confidence of intelligence practitioners across the organisation.

As an Educator, you will design and deliver contemporary intelligence training programs that support operational readiness and enhance Victoria Police's intelligence capability. The role functions within a small multidisciplinary team, working closely with intelligence professionals, subject matter experts, operational police and learning specialists, to develop and deliver intelligence training programs.

Your duties will include:

- Designing and delivering contemporary intelligence training programs for intelligence practitioners and operational police members.
- Developing and maintaining training materials including session plans, presentations, practical exercises, e-learning content and assessment tools, in accordance with organisational requirements and compliance standards.
- Building relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure intelligence training remains current, operationally relevant and aligned with organisational priorities, policies and emerging trends.
- Evaluating training effectiveness by gathering participant feedback, monitoring learning outcomes, identifying capability gaps and recommending continuous improvements to training programs.
- Maintaining knowledge and skills in contemporary intelligence practices and adult learning methodologies.

About You:

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

- Demonstrated experience in contemporary intelligence practice. Tactical and operational intelligence experience within a law enforcement environment is highly desirable.




- Clear communication skills with the ability to translate complex intelligence concepts into practical and accessible learning experiences.
- Experience building productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and contributing to collaborative projects.
- Highly developed inter-personal skills to maintain a safe, inclusive training environment.
- Experience ment oring and coaching individuals to build capability and confidence.
- Qualifications in intelligence, education, training, learning and development or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

Further Information:

- This position is located at the Victoria Police Academy, Glen Waverley.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- The successful applicant must be qualified in Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent or qualify within 12 months.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
