Hinterland Toyota Nerang and Robina has opportunities for Full time Apprentice Automotive Technicians to join our high-performing Service teams.

We’re looking for the right people to join us with a view to building a long-term career in the automotive industry. Whether you’re starting your apprenticeship or looking for the right dealership to continue your trade, you’ll have the support, mentoring and hands-on experience to keep learning and developing.

This role will suit someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys learning and solving problems, and wants to be part of a workshop where quality matters. We value a good attitude, reliability and a willingness to get involved, help your teammates and learn from the experienced technicians around you.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in a busy dealership environment, with plenty of opportunities to build your technical skills, learn from the team around you and develop confidence in your trade. We’re looking to invest in apprentices who want to learn their trade well and grow with us beyond becoming qualified.

As part of the Hinterland Motors Group, you’ll be joining a long-established, award-winning dealership that has served the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim for over 40 years, with the training and development opportunities that come from building your career with Toyota.

About the role?

Reporting to the Service Manager, within the role, you will learn to:

- Accurately identify and report on service, repair, and warranty work
- Carry out minor and major services to manufacturer and dealership specifications.
- Troubleshoot and conduct Diagnostics across various vehicle makes and models.




- Perform road testing and conduct quality control check assessments
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring the correct operation of tools and specialised equipment.
- Contribute to the positive team culture and overall customer experience
- 38 Hour - Monday to Friday workweek, no weekends or public holidays

What we’re looking for

- Year 12 Completion
- Cert 2 in Automotive Vocational Education desired but not essential
- Sound mechanical aptitude and a passion to learn and succeed
- Ability to work autonomously and collectively as part of a large team
- Ability to take instruction, direction and feedback from Senior Technicians
- Commitment to get the job done right the first time
- Effective written and verbal communication
- A Current Manual Driver’s Licence
