Position: Account Executive – Government & Secure Workloads

Location: Sydney or Canberra Australia

We’re looking for an experienced government sales professional to own ResetData’s sales strategy across Federal and State Government. This role covers the full breadth of government – not a single tier or portfolio – including Defence, federal and state police, cyber security agencies and state-level health and security bodies with genuine security and sovereignty requirements.

Government sales cycles are long and relationship-led, and a single major customer in this space can represent significant scale for the business. This is a senior role:



you’ll need the credibility and experience to build trust with government stakeholders over time, and the patience to manage a small number of large, strategic opportunities rather than a high-volume transactional pipeline.

What you’ll do:

- Own and drive ResetData’s sales strategy across Federal Government and state government segments, covering all relevant tiers rather than a single portfolio.
- Build relationships with government departments with security and sovereignty requirements, including Defence, federal and state police, cyber security agencies, the ATO, and state-level health and security bodies.
- Navigate long, complex government sales cycles – from early relationship-building through formal procurement processes to contract execution.
- Position ResetData’s sovereign, secure GPU cloud and AI infrastructure as a credible alternative for government workloads.
- Build and manage a small number of high-value, strategic opportunities, recognising that a single major government customer can represent a very significant proportion of the pipeline.
- Partner with internal technical, security and delivery teams to build compliant, credible commercial proposals.




- Represent ResetData in government and industry forums, building long-term trust and market credibility.
- Maintain accurate account plans, relationship maps and pipeline reporting for government accounts.

What you’ll bring:

- Significant experience selling into Federal and/or State Government, ideally across Defence, national security, or law enforcement segments. This might come from consulting, cybersecurity, or an adjacent industry
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with senior government stakeholders over long sales cycles.
- Comfort managing a small number of large, complex, strategic opportunities rather than high-volume transactional sales.
- Existing relationships within Defence, cyber, law enforcement or related government sectors are highly valued.
- Excellent judgement, discretion, and the ability to navigate formal government procurement processes.
- Australian citizenship, with a willingness to obtain and maintain relevant government security clearances.
