Role Description The Accountant / Finance Administrator is a part time, remote role responsible for supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of Seldon Lab. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining accurate records in accounting software, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

The role involves monitoring expenses and revenues, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and performing reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies. The person in this position collaborates with internal stakeholders to provide clear financial insights, responds to finance-related inquiries, and helps refine financial processes and controls as the organization grows.

Qualifications

- Solid understanding of finance concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ability to prepare,



analyze, and interpret financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with financial reporting, including month-end close activities and management reports.
- Proficiency with accounting software and related tools, and comfort working with spreadsheets.
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work.
- Relevant education in finance, accounting, or a related field; skilled certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience in a technology-driven or startup environment is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
