We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join an established premium wine business with a solid reputation for quality, service and long-term customer relationships.
With a carefully curated portfolio of premium wines and strong relationships across the trade, you will partner with customers across both On-Premise and Off-Premise channels.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this field-based role will manage the East and West territories across South Australia, growing existing accounts while identifying and winning new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow On-Premise and Off-Premise wine accounts across your territory.
- Develop strong relationships with venue owners, wine buyers, retailers and key decision-makers.
- Drive new business through prospecting, referrals and networking.
- Grow existing accounts through education, increase ranging and distribution.
- Represent a premium wine portfolio with confidence utilising strong product knowledge.
- Develop territory plans and structured call cycles to maximise sales opportunities.
- Negotiate listings, pricing and promotional opportunities.
- Identify new venues, retailers and growth opportunities across the market.
- Support wine tastings,
trade events, dinners and brand activations.
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, sales reporting and account plans.
- Work closely with the National Sales Manager to deliver territory growth objectives as part of a larger team.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 3 years' experience in wine sales — essential.
- Direct wine industry experience is mandatory.
- Experience selling across both On-Premise and Off-Premise channels.
- Strong understanding of the South Australian wine market.
- Established relationships with wine buyers, venues and/or retailers highly desirable.
- Proven track record of winning new accounts and sales growth.
- Strong wine knowledge and genuine passion for the wine category.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working autonomously.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across the territory.
