The Opportunity

Murrumbidgee LHD is seeking Surgical Registrars (PGY4+) to support hospitals across the district. You’ll work across elective and emergency surgical units, assist in theatre, manage pre- and post-op care, and support acute presentations through ED.

This is an ideal role for registrars building toward SET or with existing experience managing unsupervised ward and on-call responsibilities in a rural hospital.

Clinical Environment

- General Surgery with access to subspecialty visiting services
- Exposure to elective lists, emergency theatre, and trauma
- On-call and after-hours rosters available (higher rate)
- Strong consultant backup and junior support in most sites

Eligibility Criteria

- AHPRA Registration
- PGY4+ with recent experience in General Surgery
- ALS2 preferred; strong clinical judgement required




- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
