Bridge IT Engineering is partnering with a major State Government client seeking an experienced AI Portfolio & Engagement Advisor.

About the Role The role acts as the key interface between business stakeholders and AI delivery teams, identifying, shaping and prioritising AI opportunities, managing the AI initiative pipeline, navigating governance and assurance requirements, and supporting successful AI adoption to deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

Business Engagement and Advisory

- Build strong relationships with business areas to understand strategic priorities, challenges and opportunities.
- Facilitate discovery workshops, ideation sessions and business consultations to identify potential AI use cases.
- Provide advice on AI capabilities, delivery pathways and suitable solution approaches.
- Promote awareness and adoption of AI across the organisation.

Chance Identification and Shaping

- Help business areas define AI opportunities, expected outcomes, benefits and success measures.
- Assess opportunities for strategic alignment, business value, feasibility and organisational readiness.
- Support development of initiative concepts, value propositions and preliminary business cases.
- Guide stakeholders through the AI opportunity lifecycle from idea to implementation.

AI Portfolio Management

- Maintain and manage the AI Initiatives Register and opportunity pipeline.
- Monitor initiative progress, dependencies, risks, benefits and delivery status.
- Support portfolio prioritisation, demand management and investment planning activities.
- Provide visibility of current and emerging AI opportunities across the enterprise.

Governance and Assurance Coordination

- Work with governance leads to coordinate progression of initiatives through governance, risk and assurance processes.




- Support business areas in completing FAIRA assessments and other approval requirements.
- Facilitate engagement with security, privacy, architecture, information management and legal stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate governance requirements are considered early in the initiative lifecycle.

Business and Stakeholder Coordination

- Act as the central coordination point between business owners, delivery teams and governance stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Support business areas in securing sponsorship, funding and organisational commitment.
- Facilitate benefits planning, change readiness and adoption activities with identified stakeholder groups.

Reporting and Executive Insights

- Prepare executive reports, dashboards and portfolio performance updates.
- Provide insights into demand trends, delivery progress, business benefits and emerging opportunities.
- Develop briefing materials for senior leadership and governance forums.
- Support evidence-based decision-making through portfolio analysis and reporting.

AI Capability and Adoption

- Help establish repeatable approaches for identifying and assessing AI opportunities.
- Share lessons learned, success stories and emerging trends across business areas.
- Support development of AI literacy and organisational capability including participation in Communities of Practice.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of AI governance, operating models and engagement frameworks.
