VR Care Services is seeking therapy assistants to support participants to achieve their individual goals by assisting with therapy programs and activities under the direction and supervision of a qualified Allied Health Qualified.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement therapy activities as prescribed or delegated by an Allied Health Professional.

- Support participants with exercises, functional activities and skill development.

- Promote independence, participation and achievement of individual goals.

- Provide person-centred, respectful and professional support.

- Follow individual therapy and support plans.

- Monitor participant responses and report concerns or changes to the supervising professional.

- Maintain accurate progress notes and service records.

- Follow NDIS requirements, organisational policies and participant safeguarding procedures.

- Maintain participant privacy, confidentiality and professional boundaries.

- Use equipment safely and follow workplace health and safety requirements.

- Participate in required training, supervision and competency assessments.





The Therapy Assistant must work within their qualifications, training and competency and under the direction of the supervising Allied Health Professional. They must not independently assess, diagnose or change clinical therapy programs.

Essential Requirements

- Relevant qualification or demonstrated relevant experience.

- Experience or interest in supporting people with disability.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to follow therapy instructions and maintain accurate records.

- NDIS Worker Screening Check and other checks/certifications as applicable

- First Aid and CPR certification

Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
