An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Senior Policy Officers to support the development of a National Food Security Strategy. The successful Senior Policy Officers will contribute to policy development, research, stakeholder engagement and project activities supporting the delivery of this nationally significant strategy.
The successful Senior Policy Officers will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Contribute to drafting the National Food Security Strategy.
Undertake research and analysis to support policy development.
Prepare departmental and ministerial briefs and correspondence.
Support stakeholder engagement and working groups.
Monitor project timelines, deliverables and milestones.
The successful Senior Policy Officers will have experience in the following:
Strong policy development, research and analytical skills.
Experience preparing briefs, papers and ministerial correspondence.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Experience supporting complex policy initiatives.
Solid project coordination and organisational skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile national policy initiative, working across research, policy development, communications and stakeholder engagement. The roles are Canberra based, with flexible and remote working arrangements considered. The engagement is expected to run for 6 months with the possibility of extension.
