About the Role

We are a busy family of five on the Mornington Peninsula, mum, dad, and three children aged 3, 7 and 9, plus two dogs. We are looking for a full time Housekeeper to help keep our home clean, organised, and running well.

This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring the home remains clean, organised, and well presented at all times. Most of the week is spent on cleaning, laundry, and keeping the house prepared for school, sport, and busy weeks. The rest is meal preparation, cooking, and practical support with the children.

This is a secure, long term position with one household. Whoever takes this role will be in our home and most days around all of us, so we are looking for someone we can build a genuine, long term relationship with.

Hours

Full time, Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays.

Hours can shift from week to week depending on school terms, sport, and family travel, so some flexibility with start and finish times is important.

Cleaning, Laundry and Organisation

- Keeping the home clean and well presented consistently to a high standard

- Bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, living areas, floors, surfaces, and detail cleaning

- All laundry, ironing, linen changes, wardrobes, and seasonal clothing changeovers

- Organising cupboards, pantry, storage areas, and household systems

- Monitoring household supplies and ordering when replenishment is required

- Grocery shopping and ordering household supplies

- Coordinating trades or service providers when required

- Packing and unpacking school bags and sports bags

- Packing and unpacking suitcases, and preparing the household for travel

- General errands and ad hoc tasks as they come up, including post office trips, collecting purchases, returns, and pick ups

Cooking and Meal Preparation

- Cooking fresh,



healthy family meals from scratch

- Preparing children's lunchboxes

- Meal planning and prepping ahead for busy weeks

- Confidence cooking a good variety of meals

Children and Driving

There is practical involvement with the children, including:

- School pick ups and drop offs when required

- Driving children to weekly sporting activities when required

- Ensuring bags, uniforms, lunches and equipment are organised and ready

This is not a childcare focused role, but comfort around children and confidence driving them is essential.

Travel and Additional Duties

Depending on family needs and availability, this role may also include:

- Occasional travel with the family to support household logistics

- House sitting and caring for our dogs when we travel without support

Requirements

- Previous experience in a private household, housekeeping, or qualified cleaning role is highly desirable

- Valid driver's licence

- Working With Children Check

- Police Check or willingness to obtain

- Full Australian work rights
