Kennedys is currently looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Billing Administrator to join our collaborative Finance team in Sydney.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and delivering accurate administrative support.
The Role
Working closely with our Billing team, you'll play an important role in supporting billing activities across the firm. You'll assist with invoice processing, e-billing administration, matter maintenance, reporting, and client billing requirements, helping ensure our billing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
This role offers excellent exposure to legal finance and billing operations within a global professional services environment, with systems training provided.
Responsibilities
- Supporting invoice preparation, submission and tracking activities
- Assisting with client e-billing platforms and invoice uploads
- Maintaining billing and matter data accurately across systems
- Monitoring billing inboxes and responding to queries
- Assisting with invoice amendments, rejections and billing administration
- Supporting reporting and month-end billing activities
- Working closely with lawyers, legal support teams and finance colleagues
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Who we are looking for
We are seeking someone who is organised, patient and enjoys working with detailed administrative tasks.
You may be a Legal Assistant who is keen to transition into a dedicated billing role or an insurance industry professional with robust administrative skills looking to change industry.
You'll Also Bring
- Intermediate - Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data is essential
- Experience using billing platforms, e-billing systems, legal finance systems or working within the insurance sector will be viewed favourably, but is not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to investigate issues
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support others
