THE ROLE

As Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with the Venue Manager and senior leadership team while taking genuine ownership of the venue when you're running the shift.

This is not a clipboard-and-office management role. You'll be on the floor, reading the room, backing your team, talking to customers, solving problems and making sure the whole operation keeps moving.

You'll be responsible for

- Leading busy food, beverage and gaming shifts
- Opening and closing the venue
- Taking ownership of shift execution and standards
- Leading, motivating and directing the operational team
- Keeping service sharp and the venue looking its best
- Managing customer experience and resolving issues confidently
- Cash controls, tills, floats and end-of-shift reconciliation
- Supporting onboarding, training and development
- Coordinating security and responding to operational issues
- Assisting with functions, events and venue activations
- Supporting stock ordering, deliveries and stocktakes
- Maintaining RSA, RCG, food safety, WHS and venue compliance
- Completing accurate shift reports, incidents and management handovers

You'll have real responsibility while on shift and genuine exposure to what it takes to run a successful hospitality venue.

You'll ideally bring

- Assistant Manager, Duty Manager or similar hospitality leadership experience
- Experience within high-volume pubs, bars, hotels or entertainment venues
- Confidence leading teams through busy services
- Strong food and beverage knowledge
- Gaming experience highly regarded
- Strong cash handling and reconciliation skills
- Understanding of RSA, RCG, food safety and WHS requirements
- The ability to train, coach and motivate a team
- Strong communication and practical problem-solving skills
- Availability across a rotating seven-day roster
- Most importantly, the ambition to keep progressing THE PACKAGE | $90,000-$95,000 + SUPER A solid package for a strong operator.
