About the Role
We’re looking for a full-time HC Truck Driver to join the SOILCO team at our Yass operation.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver who wants variety, responsibility and ownership of their day. You’ll be responsible for delivering our own finished palletised products to customers across the Southern Highlands, Sydney and Central West NSW, operating a Truck & Dog tautliner combination.
Every day will be different, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys being out on the road, managing their own workload and taking pride in getting the job done. You’ll also be representing Martins Fertilizers and SOILCO directly with our customers, so a positive attitude, professionalism and reliability are just as important as your driving experience.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, practical and dependable, with the initiative to manage their day, communicate well and keep things moving. This role will suit a driver who wants more than simply a point-to-point job and enjoys having ownership and variety in their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe and timely delivery of finished products to customers
- Operating a HC truck and dog tautliner combination
- Loading, securing and unloading freight safely
- Completing deliveries across the Southern Highlands, Sydney and Central West NSW
- Ensuring all transport activities comply with company procedures and Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Completing daily vehicle checks and maintaining a high standard of care for the equipment
- Providing professional and helpful service when dealing with customers
- Working closely with the other team members to coordinate deliveries and compliance
What we’re looking for:
- Current HC licence - essential
- Experience with truck and dog combinations preferred
- Tautliner/general freight experience highly regarded
- Strong understanding of load restraint and transport safety requirements
- Good knowledge of regional NSW and Sydney transport routes
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working independently
- A proactive attitude and willingness to help wherever required
- Strong commitment to safety, presentation and customer service
