About the Role

As Automotive Technician, you’ll play a key role in preparing quality used vehicles for sale, ensuring they meet Big Box Cars’ standards for safety, presentation and reliability.

You’ll work across servicing, repairs, diagnostics and reconditioning tasks, contributing directly to production targets and customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:





- Completing mechanical servicing, repairs and diagnostic work

- Conducting inspections and reconditioning tasks to meet quality standards

- Identifying and rectifying mechanical issues efficiently

- Preparing vehicles quickly and accurately for sale

- Working closely with the Reconditioning Lead to meet daily production targets

- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment

- Following WH&S; and safe work practices at all times

About You

You’ll be well‑suited to this role if you’re reliable, quality‑focused, and enjoy working in a high‑volume, process‑driven workshop.

You will have:

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)

- Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills

- Experience working across multiple vehicle makes and models
- A current manual driver’s licence
- A complete and up‑to‑date tool kit

- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment

- Strong time‑management and communication skills
- A positive, team‑focused attitude
