Our Robotics business unit partners with Stäubli, applying robotics to machine tending, pick and place, assembly, packaging, and vision-guided automation for customers across manufacturing, medical, and food industries.

We're looking for an Automation & Robotics Engineer to join our Melbourne team as a true end-to-end solution provider, hands on from day one across mechanical design and build, robot programming, controls integration, on-site commissioning, and ongoing service and maintenance. This is an all-round role for someone willing to work hard and turn their hand to whatever the job needs.

Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and commission robotic and automation systems for industrial customers
- Program and integrate industrial robots (Stäubli or equivalent)
- Work across mechanical design, electrical/controls, and PLC/robot software
- Deliver on-site installation, troubleshooting, service,



and maintenance
- Contribute to technical proposals and solution design alongside the sales and engineering team

Requirements:

- Degree or trade background in mechatronics, mechanical, or automation engineering
- Hands-on experience servicing, building and commissioning automation equipment
- Robot programming experience desired, training provided if required
- PLC and controls integration experience
- Knowledge of pneumatics
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g. EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on-site
- Hands-on, get-it-done work ethic, ready to work hard across the full scope of the role
