We’re looking for a Tier 2 AWS Platform Operations Engineer to join our team, with a primary focus on advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, remediation, and AWS platform reliability .

As a Tier 2 engineer, you’ll act as an escalation point for complex incidents, taking ownership of issues from Tier 1 through to resolution while proactively improving platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Take ownership of escalated incidents and perform deep-dive AWS infrastructure and application troubleshooting.
- Develop automation using CloudFormation, Lambda and CI/CD pipelines to reduce manual intervention.
- Enhance monitoring and observability using Splunk, Honeycomb and OpenTelemetry .
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) , document findings and implement preventative measures.
- Collaborate with DevOps, application and security teams to maintain compliance and performance.
- Mentor Tier 1 engineers on troubleshooting techniques and best practices.

Minimum Requirements:

- AWS Certification – SysOps or higher strongly preferred.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly CloudFormation.
- Proficiency with GitHub ,



with Bitbucket/Bamboo experience a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk, Honeycomb and OpenTelemetry .
- Ability to troubleshoot under pressure during major incidents and lead technical bridges.

Desired Experience:

- CloudFormation troubleshooting, including stack failures, drift detection and rollback handling.
- Strong knowledge of IAM policies, S3 bucket policies and AWS security best practices .
- Advanced CloudWatch experience, including metrics, alarms, LogGroups and custom dashboards.
- AWS microservices including ECS Fargate, Lambda and API Gateway .
- Scripting/programming experience with Python, Shell or Node.js .
- Strong networking knowledge covering OSI, VPCs, routing, NAT gateways and DNS .
- Experience with CloudFront and WAF .

Nice to Have:

- CloudTrail analysis for security and compliance.
- VPC Flow Logs troubleshooting and network packet analysis.
- IAM AssumeRole, STS Tokens, Secrets Manager and SSM automation.
- AWS performance tuning experience.
