Qualified Barber - Full-Time | Alice Springs NT

Fresh Futures Hair & Beauty Lounge is seeking a skilled and experienced Qualified Barber to join our team in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.

This is a full-time position (38 hours per week). We welcome applications from qualified barbers currently living in Alice Springs, elsewhere in the Northern Territory, Adelaide, Melbourne and other parts of Australia who are willing to relocate.

Salary: $81,000 per annum + superannuation

About the Role The successful applicant will provide professional barbering and men's grooming services to a diverse client base while contributing to the efficient day-to-day operation of the salon.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Consult with clients regarding hairstyles, grooming preferences and suitable services.
- Cut, trim and shape men's and boys' hair using scissors, clippers and razors.
- Perform skin fades, taper fades, clipper cuts and scissor cuts.
- Provide contemporary and traditional barbering styles.
- Trim, shape and groom beards, moustaches and sideburns.
- Provide razor shaving and grooming services where appropriate.
- Shampoo, condition, dry and style clients' hair.
- Recommend suitable hair, beard and grooming products.
- Maintain client records and assist with appointment management.
- Clean and sanitise barbering tools, equipment, chairs and workstations.
- Maintain high standards of salon hygiene and infection control.
- Assist with payments, retail products, stock and general salon operations.
- Deliver skilled and friendly customer service.





Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have

- A recognised qualification in Barbering or Hairdressing, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Relevant commercial barbering experience.
- Demonstrated competence in men's cutting, clipper work, fades and beard grooming.
- Strong technical barbering and grooming skills.
- Positive client consultation and customer service skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a professional salon team.
- Knowledge of salon hygiene, infection control and workplace health and safety requirements.
