Our Café is a well-known and well-loved Specialty Coffee Café serving up arguable the best cup of joe in the Hills District. We're also popular for our highly sought after authentic house made bagels; all hand rolled and baked fresh every day.

Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

- Grinding, brewing and extracting coffee
- Determining Brew Methods & Recipes of Single Origin Beans
- Dialling in espresso beans as required and communicating such recipes to the wider team and management
- Developing and maintaining expert knowledge of coffee and educating staff and patrons about these coffees
- Consistently providing well-crafted, beautifully presented, and tasty beverages
- Taking customer orders and receiving payment
- Building positive relationships with patrons, staff and stakeholders and contributing to a positive work environment
- Maintaining a clean and sanitised work workplace




- Following health and safety guidelines and expectations
- Regularly performing stock checks in the cafe and placing new orders where required or communicating these stock updates to management
- Following recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
- Being aware of and following operational policies and procedures
- Being punctual and maintaining regular and consistent attendance
- Attending and participating in staff meetings and professional development
- Training new Front of House Staff on key areas such as but not limited to the below.

- Taking Customer orders using the till
- Open & Close Procedures
- Front of House Service Procedures

- Preparing Drinks

- Expectations and Responsibilities
- Using Coffee Machinery and Equipment

The duties of this role include preparing and serving well-crafted speciality coffee for espresso, filter, drip as well as specialty tea. The ideal candidate will also have considerably strong abilities working with milk and performing latte art. The Barista role requires extensive knowledge of coffee beans, blends, and their origins. A strong understanding of flavour profiles subsequent to the varieties of coffee and should also know how to operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders and filter systems comfortably.
