You’ll work across a mix of clinic, home, school and community settings, supporting a diverse range of clients across the lifespan.

You’ll also have the opportunity to build experience across speech, language, communication, social interaction, AAC, swallowing and mealtime management — while having input into the type of caseload you want to develop.

Your base: Glen Waverley

Your main clinic will be our Glen Waverley clinic in Melbourne, with a combination of clinic and community-based work. You may support clients at:

- Our Glen Waverley clinic
- Their homes
- Schools and educational settings
- Community locations

This gives you variety throughout the week while still having a clinic and team to come back to. You won’t be spending every day working alone on the road.

Make a meaningful difference every day

As a Speech Pathologist at DiverseyCare, you’ll:

- Conduct assessments in speech, language, communication and swallowing
- Develop and deliver individualised therapy plans
- Provide one-on-one therapy to NDIS and private clients
- Deliver therapy in clinic, home, school and community settings
- Work collaboratively with families and carers
- Liaise with Support Coordinators and other health professionals
- Monitor client progress and adjust therapy goals as needs change
- Complete clinical reports and recommendations
- Contribute to multidisciplinary care where appropriate
- Travel within the community to support clients in their preferred environments

What you'll need

- A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Current Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status, or eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia membership
- Relevant placement experience or clinical experience
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- Developing or established report-writing skills
- A genuine interest in helping people communicate, connect and participate more fully in everyday life
- A willingness to travel locally in the community as part of the role
- Relevant worker screening and checks required for the position
