Maxwell Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join a well-established structural steel company based in Newcastle.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for consistent local work, completing the fabrication of structural steel components including stairs, platforms and associated steelwork.
The Role
Working from the Newcastle workshop, your duties will include:
- Fabrication of structural steel components
- Fabricating stairs, platforms, handrails and other structural steelwork
- MIG and Stick welding
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
- Measuring, cutting, fitting and assembling steel components
- Using grinders, drills and other workshop equipment
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and to specification
- Maintaining a secure and tidy work area
What We Are Looking For To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Ability to confidently read and interpret drawings
- Good attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

- $55–$58 per hour, depending on experience
