University Theatres manages the live performance spaces of the University of Western Australia. University Theatres welcomes to its unique venues skilled producers and promoters and a range of community groups and University departments.

University Theatres manages diverse and unique venues across the University of Western Australia including:

- The Octagon Theatre

- Bradley Studio

- Winthrop Hall & Undercroft
- The Dolphin Theatre
- The Somerville Auditorium
- The New Fortune Theatre
- The Sunken Garden

- Plus a range of open spaces and teaching facilities

We welcome a range of clients including:
- External professional producers of dance, theatre, comedy, spoken word

- University clients for core teaching

- Perth Festival

- Community groups and schools

About the Role

Reporting to the Bookings Manager, the Bookings Coordinator is involved in all day-to-day operations of the Bookings Department focusing on:

- Responding to booking enquires,

- Contracting, billing and liaising with clients,

- Liaison with other University Theatres departments to ensure smooth operations, and

- Scheduling activity in the event management system.





About You

This position will suit applicants with experience of theatre, dance or event coordination with an ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines and deliver great customer service to our clients.

The successful applicant will have:

- Experience coordinating cultural events, especially the performing arts,

- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, including the ability to build a rapport with clients,

- Computer literacy,

- Organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines,

- Ability to show initiative and work productively as part of a small team,

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and

- Impeccable attention to detail.
