Business Analyst – NV1 Clearance

Canberra, ACT – must be locally based

Current NV1 clearance mandatory

We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a major engagement within a secure Federal Government environment.

This role will suit someone who can work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and delivery leads to understand operational needs, define clear requirements and support the successful delivery of business and technology outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading requirements-gathering sessions, workshops and stakeholder interviews
- Eliciting, analysing, documenting and validating business requirements
- Developing business requirements, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Mapping current and future-state business processes
- Identifying process gaps, risks, dependencies and improvement opportunities
- Translating business needs into clear deliverables for technical and project teams
- Maintaining requirements traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Supporting solution design, testing, implementation and business readiness activities




- Acting as the key link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
- Producing high-quality documentation, reports and stakeholder communications

To be considered, you will need:

- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst within complex technology, transformation or government programs
- Robust requirements elicitation, process mapping and documentation capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience working with multidisciplinary project, architecture and technical teams
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- A current NV1 security clearance – this is mandatory
- To be based in Canberra and available to work locally as required

Previous experience within Defence or Federal Government environments will be highly regarded.
