Business Analyst / Junior Business Analyst (Entry / Junior Level)Role Description

We are seeking a sharp, structured, and solutions-oriented Business Analyst / Junior Business Analyst (Entry / Junior Level) to bridge the gap between our operational teams and technology partners. In this cross-functional role, you will work closely with Product Managers, Senior Business Analysts, Operations Leaders, and Engineering teams to analyze business workflows, gather functional requirements, and optimize operational processes. You will be responsible for mapping out current-state vs. future-state processes, documenting technical and business specs, facilitating stakeholder workshops, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) for new system rollouts.

Responsibilities include drafting User Stories, creating process flow diagrams (BPMN), performing gap analyses, and validating that delivered software or process changes meet business objectives. Success in this position requires strong analytical problem-solving skills, clear documentation habits, basic data manipulation capabilities, and the interpersonal agility to align cross-functional priorities.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Practical understanding of eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, creating Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and writing user stories with acceptance criteria.




- Process Mapping & Workflow Design: Proficiency in drafting clear business process models and swimlane diagrams using tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or Draw.io (BPMN standards).
- Data Analysis & Querying: Working knowledge of SQL (select statements, joins, filtering) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets to analyze operational data, run gap analyses, and validate software outputs.
- Agile & Waterfall Methodologies: Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC), Agile/Scrum frameworks, sprint planning, and backlog management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Capability to draft test scenarios, execute UAT scripts alongside business users, track defect resolution, and confirm feature readiness before deployment.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent active listening, facilitation, and interview skills to gather inputs from end-users, department leads, and technical developers seamlessly.
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Strong diagnostic mindset to break down complex operational bottlenecks, identify root causes, and propose scalable tech-enabled solutions.
- Communication & Presentation: Transparent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical jargon into straightforward business terms and vice versa.
- Qualified Attributes: High organizational agility, detail-oriented approach to documentation, adaptable attitude toward changing project scopes, and a solid commitment to project execution.
