As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be part of the team that ensures achievement of all sales segments for View Hotels (View Sydney, View Melbourne, View Brisbane). You will be responsible for driving acquisition and growing fair share for the group of hotels through developing new sales opportunities to hit revenue targets and maximize performance both in the short and long term. This will be achieved by proactive account management of existing corporate & MICE accounts and from new accounts acquired and contracted for View Hotels.
Key responsibilities
- Drive proactive total account management and new business development across View Hotels
- Carry out sales initiatives for the Hotels with site inspections, client entertainment, familiarisations, trade shows and other events that form part of the sales and marketing plan
- Develop and maintain strong relations and contact with key decision makers, key influencers, meeting planners, professional conference and event organisers, and other producers closely aligned to the business
- Work closely and communicate client requirements and other relevant account / segment information to all relevant departments to ensure their expectations are exceeded, across View Hotels
- Maintain robust presence in the local community by participating in approved business / industry organisations, associations and developing a broad external network
About you
- Minimum 2 years' experience hotel sales or in a sales-related area ideally within Australasia with a proven track record of success
- Proactive approach to developing and maintaining strong relations with clients and stakeholders including customers' and senior management
- Knowledge of sales principles and techniques
- Ability to prospect and convert new customers
- Ability to public speak and present commercial presentations
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Strong influencer and persuader
- Flexible work approach
- Ability to work independently
