One of our Federal Government Clients is seeking to engage a Qlik BI Specialist - EL1

Contract Length: 12 months

Contract Extension: Up to 24 months

Security Clearance: Australian Citizenship with NV1 Clearance

We are seeking two experienced Business Intelligence Specialists to support a Federal Government client in delivering a production-ready Qlik Cloud setting.

The engagement will focus on migrating existing Qlik Sense applications to Qlik Cloud, implementing a robust governance framework, replacing legacy static reporting capabilities, and transitioning the solution to the NIAA business-as-usual (BAU) support team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Application Migration

- Migrate and enhance existing data models.
- Migrate in-scope Qlik applications from on-premises infrastructure to Qlik Cloud.
- Validate application functionality, performance, and data integrity.

Platform Capability Replacement
- Replace in-scope Qlik NPrinting reports with equivalent Qlik Cloud reporting solutions.
- Configure equivalent GeoAnalytics functionality within Qlik Cloud.

Governance Model Implementation
- Define and implement change and release management processes.
- Implement the agreed role-based access control (RBAC) model.
- Configure audit, monitoring, and governance capabilities.

Standards and Documentation
- Develop Qlik development standards and naming conventions.
- Establish data model and dashboard design standards.
- Develop administration runbooks and support documentation.

Training and Transition
- Develop user training materials and deliver training sessions.




- Develop administrator training materials and conduct handover sessions.
- Provide knowledge transfer and supporting documentation to enable a successful transition to BAU support and business ownership.

Technical Skills
- Qlik / Qlik Sense / Qlik Cloud
- Microsoft SQL Server

Essential Criteria

- Strong track record in developing interactive Qlik dashboards and reports.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing physical data models in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Highly developed data communication skills, with the ability to explain data concepts to audiences with varying levels of data literacy.
- Understanding of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, the sensitivities associated with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander data.
- Ability to communicate and manage Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander data in a respectful, appropriate, and culturally informed manner.
- Demonstrated experience with Qlik Cloud tenant administration, including management of spaces, roles, and access permissions.
- Demonstrated experience with Qlik Automate, including automation workflows, notifications, integrations, and webhooks.
