Unique Meats is looking for a reliable and motivated person to join our busy retail team at Fyshwick Markets. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on customer service, maintaining our chicken display and preparing simple specialty butcher products. You'll be working in a fast-paced shop with plenty of customer interaction, so we're looking for someone who is friendly, switched on and happy to keep busy.
Key responsibilities
- Serving customers and providing great customer service
- Taking ownership of our chicken cabinet and keeping it full, fresh and well presented
- Refilling and rotating trays throughout the day
- Preparing chicken products and simple specialty butcher items
- Maintaining clean and attractive displays
- Food preparation,
wrapping and packaging
- Keeping work areas clean and organised
- Helping the team wherever needed during busy periods
About you
- Is confident and friendly with customers
- Has a strong work ethic and takes initiative
- Is reliable and punctual
- Can work efficiently in a busy workplace
- Takes pride in presentation and cleanliness
- Is comfortable handling and preparing meat
- Can work Thursday through Sunday, 8:30am–5:00pm
- Butchery experience is a bonus, particularly if you're comfortable creating value-added or specialty products
