We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cable Jointer / Cable Layer to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Cable Jointer with experience in power distribution, along with a skilled Cable Layer who is confident working around underground electrical infrastructure.

About the Role The successful applicant will be responsible for the installation, jointing and maintenance of underground power cables, working safely and efficiently across a range of electrical distribution projects.

Essential Qualifications & Tickets

- UET30821 Certificate III in ESI – Distribution
- UETDRDU016 – Lay Power Cables
- HR Driver’s Licence
- Excavator Ticket
- Previous experience in the electrical distribution or underground power industry
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current relevant industry tickets and licences

Key Responsibilities

- Cable jointing and termination of underground power cables




- Laying and installing power cables in accordance with specifications
- Operating excavators and other relevant plant and equipment
- Cable trenching, installation and backfilling activities
- Working around existing underground services
- Following electrical safety procedures and site requirements
- Completing work to a high standard while meeting project deadlines
- Maintaining tools, plant and equipment
- Working collaboratively with supervisors, electricians, operators and other crew members
