About the Role

The Safety and Wellbeing team of Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Safety Partner.

As a Senior Safety Partner, you will coach leaders and teams across DPIRD to drive a positive safety culture and support the delivery of safe, compliant and healthy workplaces. You will provide expert WHS advice, ensure advanced risk management analysis is undertaken, support incident investigations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety systems and practices.

Working across a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce, you will collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks, coach leaders in safety best practice, monitor safety performance, and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and organisational requirements.

About You

You are an experienced WHS professional with a strong understanding of workplace safety legislation, risk management and incident investigation.



You are a trusted advisor who can build effective relationships, influence stakeholders and provide practical safety solutions in complex operational environments.

You bring a proactive, collaborative approach and are passionate about improving safety outcomes through coaching, continuous improvement and robust safety leadership.

You will have:

- Knowledge and experience in the interpretation and implementation of WHS related legislation, especially the NSW WHS Act 2011 and the NSW WHS regulations 2025
- Demonstrated experience in the areas of workplace risk management, hazard identification and incident investigation
- WHS qualifications at a tertiary standard and/or extensive equivalent experience in a Health and Safety environment (essential).
