We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a well-established Australian-owned organisation on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the financial function, supporting month-end processes and providing accurate financial reporting and analysis to the wider business.
This is a broad Financial Accounting position suited to someone who enjoys working across a range of responsibilities and taking ownership of their work in a collaborative finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end financial accounting and reporting processes
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage intercompany accounting and recharges
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Support tax and statutory compliance requirements
- Prepare management and ad hoc financial reports
- Assist with year-end reporting and audit requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
- Work closely with the Financial Controller and key internal stakeholders
About You
- 5+ years' experience in Financial Accounting or a similar role
- Demonstrated experience with intercompany recharges – essential
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting principles
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Excel and ERP systems experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification is desirable
- A proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
