Creno Construction is looking to expand and hire qualified carpenters to work across a diverse range of quality residential projects. You will work as part of a small, motivated building team on residential construction including renovations, extensions, new homes, high-end residential construction and bespoke carpentry.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, specifications and details, and accurately set out work from these documents
- Produce high standard workmanship with strong attention to detail
- Work independently, organise your own tasks and complete work to a high standard without constant supervision
- Work effectively as part of a small, motivated building team and communicate respectfully with builders, supervisors, apprentices and other trades
- Teach, guide and support apprentice carpenters and less-experienced team members
- Identify construction issues, work through solutions and communicate problems early
- Present yourself professionally on site and when dealing with clients, suppliers and other trades
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment
About you
- Completed a recognised site-based carpentry apprenticeship and hold a relevant Certificate III qualification
- Demonstrated experience within residential construction
- Hold a valid White Card and demonstrate a strong understanding of workplace health and safety, PPE, site procedures and maintaining a safe and organised work setting
- Hold a valid driver's licence and have reliable access to a suitable trade vehicle capable of carrying your tools and equipment to site each day
- Own and maintain your own quality trade tools and equipment appropriate to your level of experience
- Available to work typical site hours of 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work until approximately 5:00pm when required
- Ideally reside within approximately 30–40 minutes of Mentone VIC 3194
- Have full Australian working rights and be eligible to work under Creno's available employment or subcontractor arrangements
- Consistently punctual, reliable and committed to maintaining agreed working hours and project deadlines
