We are looking for a reliable and skilled Carpenter/Handyman to join our team and assist with a variety of residential and commercial projects.

Job Overview

As a Carpenter/Handyman, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry, maintenance, repair, and minor construction tasks. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong carpentry skills, sound problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. You will work closely with our team to ensure all jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Carpentry & General Maintenance

- Carry out carpentry work including framing, fit-outs, door and window installation, and timber repairs.
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and painting work as required.
- Diagnose and fix general maintenance issues in residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure property upkeep.

Renovation & Installation

- Assist with renovations, including flooring, cabinetry, and fixture installations.
- Build and install custom joinery, shelving, and fittings as required.
- Work with a range of tools and materials to complete repair and improvement projects.

Landscaping & Outdoor Work

- Carry out basic landscaping tasks such as fencing repairs, paving,



and garden maintenance.
- Build, install, and repair decks, pergolas, and outdoor timber structures.

Site Coordination & Safety

- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Keep the company vehicle, tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organised, and well maintained.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure job expectations are met.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong carpentry skills with hands-on experience across general maintenance, repairs, and construction work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues efficiently.
- Strong work ethic.
- Confident and safe use of hand and power tools and equipment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience as a carpenter, handyman, or in property maintenance/construction.
- Trade qualification or solid working knowledge of carpentry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or painting is an advantage.
- Valid driver's licence, required to operate the company vehicle.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety and first aid is an advantage.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
