Key Responsibilities:

- Applying paints, stains, and varnishes as per requirements.

- Prepare work areas by erecting scaffolding and ladders and placing drop sheets to protect surrounding surfaces from paint splatter.

- Remove old paint and wallpaper, repair woodwork, fill holes and cracks, and smooth and seal surfaces in preparation for painting.

- Mix and prepare paints to desired colours by combining pigments, oils, and appropriate thinning or drying agents.

- Apply paints, stains, and varnishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment for a smooth, professional finish.

- Hang wallpaper, align patterns, and neatly trim edges for a polished appearance.

- Clean tools, equipment, and work areas to maintain a tidy and safe work setting.





- Perform minor repairs, including replacing glass in timber or metal frames.

- Lay and repair floor and wall tiles as required.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in painting or related trades

- Certificate III or IV in Painting and Decorating (preferred but not essential)

- Sound knowledge of painting tools, materials, and safety procedures

- Physically fit and able to work on ladders and scaffolds.

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills

- Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
