Be Recruitment is seeking passionate and skilled Disability Support Worker****s & Therapeutic Youth Workers to join a dedicated team delivering high-quality care to adults and young people with complex needs.
This role is within residential care settings and requires candidates to hold all relevant qualifications below to be considered – this is non-negotiable.
About the Role:
As a Support Worker you will play a vital role in supporting clients who have experienced significant trauma, disabilities, or mental health conditions. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Behavioural management (physical and verbal aggression, property damage, absconding and sexualised behaviours)
- Work in a recovery-focused way
- Coordinate and implement social outings
- Day to day living support
- Personal Care
- Trauma informed care
- Manual Handling
- Complete detailed shift notes and incident reports.
Key Requirements
- Disability Support Workers: Minimum Certificate 3 minimum in a related field – mandatory
- Youth Workers:
Minimum Diploma in a related field – mandatory
- Minimum six months of paid experience
- NDIS workers check
- Full NSW Driver’s Licence
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- COVID-19 vaccination x3 or valid medical exemption
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including days, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers - (must be willing to complete sleepovers to be considered)
