Chef – Weekdays Only | 7:00am–2:30pm | No Weekends
Our busy café in Barton, located within a prestigious government building, is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Chef to take ownership of our kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef looking for outstanding work-life balance, consistent daytime hours, and a simple, streamlined menu.
You will run the kitchen independently day-to-day, preparing a consistent range of high-quality grab-and-go items and a small selection of simple, classic à la carte options.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing grab-and-go items such as sandwiches, wraps, salads, and ready-to-go meals
- Cooking a small number of simple breakfast and lunch dishes
- Managing ordering, stock control, and basic kitchen administration
- Maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and organisation standards
- Working autonomously
What we’re looking for:
- Comfortable running a solo kitchen
- Organised, reliable, and efficient
- Australian citizen (due to building security requirements)
- Available Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 2:30pm
What we offer:
- Approximately 37.5 hours per week
- No weekends
- Excellent work-life balance
- $60,000 – $70,000 + super (negotiable based on experience)
