Twin Peeks Lingerie Restaurant is seeking an experienced, qualified Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on cooking role responsible for the preparation and presentation of menu items to a high standard of quality and consistency.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present food according to established recipes, quality standards and portion controls
- Plan and organise food preparation and cooking sequences to meet service times
- Monitor food stock levels, order supplies and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards at all times
- Discuss food preparation issues with the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef and other kitchen staff
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes across the menu, including a la carte and function catering
- Monitor the quality and presentation of all dishes leaving the kitchen
- Train, supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff/apprentices as required
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Liaise with front-of-house staff regarding special dietary requirements and service timing
About you
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience working as a qualified Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service periods
- Solid communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the business
