About the Client Our client is a government organisation responsible for delivering essential services and supporting communities across the Northern Territory. With a strong focus on public service, community outcomes and regional development, our client plays an important role in supporting the Territory’s diverse and geographically dispersed population.

What you will be doing

- Provide a customer focussed, culturally responsive, efficient, and effective service to Territorians who contact hotlines or Professional Online Notification Portal
- Receive phone calls and online notifications, obtain relevant supporting information, identify needs, make assessments, judgement and provide advice about service responses most suited to the needs of the child and family.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of internal and external services for children and families in order to make appropriate and effective decisions.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure to meet deadlines.




- Experience in dealing with sensitive matters where confidentiality, sensitivity and integrity is critical.

What you will need

- Current Working with Childrens Check
- Prior experience within a Call Centre environment and human services would be an advantage
- High level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to respond appropriately to situations using initiative, and analysis, understand and acknowledge sensitive situations whilst negotiating solutions.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment with experience utilising computers, phones, and multiple software applications.
- Possess high levels of personal ethics, integrity and values and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentially.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary team environment, including managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
