What These Roles Involve
- Preparing accurate and competitive tender submissions across civil construction scopes.
- Reviewing and interpreting project documentation, drawings, and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates.
- Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and assess pricing for civil packages.
- Supporting bid strategy, risk identification,
and value engineering during the tender phase.
- Liaising with project, commercial, and design teams to ensure submissions are technically sound.
- Managing multiple concurrent tenders and deadlines in a rapid-paced estimating environment.
- Contributing to post-tender reviews and continuous improvement of estimating processes.
What You Can Bring
- Proven experience as a Civil Estimator within a contracting environment — essential.
- Background across energy infrastructure, defence, or commercial civil construction highly regarded.
- Strong ability to interpret civil drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Proficiency in estimating software and strong MS Excel capability.
- Commercially astute with a solid understanding of subcontractor and supplier markets.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Based in Adelaide or willing to relocate.
