Connect People are currently seeking experienced Civil NDD Operators for casual ongoing work based in Mitcham, VIC.

Our client is one of Australia's largest infrastructure services providers, delivering essential water and sewer maintenance works across Melbourne's utility networks.

We're looking for an NDD Operator with demonstrated experience operating NDD/hydro excavation equipment in water, sewer, utilities or civil construction environments.

The Details

- $45.65/hr + Super + Penalties
- Overtime available
- Ongoing casual work with full time hours - Temp to perm prospect for the right person.
- Mitcham based.

What You'll Be Doing

- Operating NDD trucks and vacuum excavation equipment to safely expose underground assets
- Performing vacuum excavation around water, sewer, gas, electrical and telecommunications infrastructure
- Completing pre-start inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles and plant
- Ensuring all works are carried out in line with permits, Dial Before You Dig requirements and service proving protocols
- Accurately completing daily work records, risk assessments and pre-start documentation
- Setting up and maintaining safe work zones including traffic management controls




- Assisting with water and sewer maintenance activities as directed
- Working alongside field crews, team leaders and subcontractors to hit operational targets

What You'll Bring Mandatory to have (or willing to obtain before commencement):

- White Card
- Current Medium Rigid Truck Licence
- MSMSS00021 Operate Hydro Excavation System
- RIICCM202 Identify, Locate and Protect Underground Services
- Electrical Spotter
- Work Safely at Heights
- First Aid certificate

Desirable:
- Traffic Management ticket
- Confined Space Entry ticket
- Excavator, loader or other plant operator tickets
- Certificate II or III in Civil Construction or Water Industry Operations
